Katherine Heigl discusses the ways that growing up within a "white bubble" affected the way she raised her adoptive family of multiracial origins. In the latest episodes of "Firefly Lane", "Grey's Anatomy", and "Grey's Anatomy", star Katherine Heigl revealed that she did not care about her complexion until she got to know her adoptive sister from South Korea. Meg was asked whether the way she was treated differed when they were out together with their parents and then in the case of going out on their own. She responded "Oh yes! All the all the time!" Heigl explained to Parents: "That was when I discovered how naive I caused me to feel." Her anger grew by the incident, and decided to use that anger to assist her daughters who were adopted by her. Heigl as well as her husband of 13 years -- the singer Josh Kelley -- have an infant son, aged 4 years old. Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr. The couple adopted Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) and is black in 2009.
